YakFiles privacy

YakFiles stores account, project, file metadata, and uploaded documents to provide the service. Production file objects use the storage location recorded for the deployment through a vendor-neutral S3-compatible storage boundary. Any contractual residency commitment is stated in the customer's agreement, not inferred from this page.

Product analytics is optional and consent-gated. When enabled, our first-party YakTracks service receives coarse page, click, error, and milestone signals. YakFiles does not send document names, paths, file contents, form values, card data, or tax IDs to analytics.

Stripe processes card and billing-address details and calculates applicable tax. YakFiles stores Stripe identifiers, not card numbers. Operational logs and launch events use bounded identifiers and hashed network signals.

Account owners can request export or deletion through support, subject to legal holds and contractual retention duties.
